All my comments in this document are styled like this one- bold-italic. This document is here because it seems we live in a technocracy-from-hell that thinks we all need a nanny-state, or there really is a lot of people suing websites because they got a cookie, their feeling hurt or otherwise offended. For those sorts, put on your big-people panties and go away. This site is not for you. If you still insist on browsing my site, it is at your own risk and I am not responsible for you twitching out because you find my site fits your world-view… or some other baloney.
Who we are
My website address is: https://debreena.com.
What personal data is collected and why it is collected
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
*Do NOT try upload your images to my site, not that it is set up for it anyway. Just saying… * If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
If you leave a comment on my site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one (1) year.
*I am not setting up accounts because I am not selling you anything. No cookies from that sort of thing will occur.*
Embedded content from other websites
*No, this site will not have stuff embedded. I left it here anyway, just because.* Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Who the site shares your data with
How long it retains your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
*I am not doing this, but left the info intact, just to be a pain in the backside.* For users that register on my website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
Note: I do NOT use Google Analytics and that sort of thing. I have no control, and neither do you, over Big Tech’s data-mining of everything on the Net. I am not setting up accounts for some dweeb to try to steal either. If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Your contact information
Your information for subscribing to my, Debreena (aka Debra), site is NOT going to be shared, sold or anything else of that nature will be done with. Seriously, I will not even look at it. I do not care. You will get notices I posted something new. No ads (spam) because I am not selling anything.
How we protect your data
What data breach procedures we have in place
I have that SSL thingie. I do not know what else I can do. My site is on a secure server, not the public WordPress one. Nothing is fully secure these days. We can only do the best we can. Use my site at your own risk, it is the same as every one else’s out there.
What third parties we receive data from
No one except to tell me someone subscribed. I get a cookie. A real one, not the pretend things computers use, with lots of chocolate chips too.
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
None. Nothing. Nada.
Industry regulatory disclosure requirements
I do not even know what the heck that means.
