Privacy Policy
This document is here because it seems the clown world we are currently held hostage in, is a technocracy-from-hell that thinks we all need a nanny-state… or there really is a lot of people suing websites because they did not get a cookie, their feeling hurt or are otherwise offended.
For those sorts, put on your big-people panties and go away. This site is not for you. If you still insist on browsing my site, it is at your own risk and I am not responsible for you twitching out because you find my site does not fit your world-view or some other baloney.
All my snarky comments in this document are styled like this one – italic and in color – in the text below.
Who I am
I am a Being of Light currently residing inside a human suit.
My website address is: https://debreena.com
What personal data is collected and why it is collected
I do not collect personal data. The subscription app uses it to send you notice that I posted an article, and the Akismet service makes sure you are not a spammer in comments. If you subscribe to my articles, the info and data is what YOU submitted while subbing to my site. I do not sell, trade, or giggle at your data. I have NO interest in it. I have a life that entails doing and creating, not the online real-imitation world and data.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, I do NOT collect the data shown in the comments form, the Akismet Service does. It collects the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the gravatar service to see if you are using it. The gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
Do NOT try upload your images to my site, it is not set up for it anyway. Just saying…
If you upload images, to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (exif gps) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact Forms
There is a subscription form. I may add a contact form at some point, like when this realm is gone. The spammers to my website’s email address are creepy telemarketers selling cheaply made garbage and “services” I have no interest in.
Cookies
I did NOT set up this form of account and do not see the need for it. If it is offered by the comment area because I missed an option to shut it off, it is up to you. I do not see any of your info, either way.
If you leave a comment on my site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one (1) year.
Embedded content from other websites
No, this site will NOT have stuff embedded. I left the info because I am not sure if a YT video I post will do what they state below.
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. Videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
I am not using gargle garbage, er, google analytics.
Who the site shares your data with
I know of none.
How long it retains your data
I am not doing this, but left the info below intact, just to be a pain in the backside. I do not allow users on my site, as they call them. Creeps trying to get into my account suddenly appeared. I squashed that. I am the only person dealing with my website.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on my website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
Note again! – I do not use google analytics and that sort of thing. I have no control, and neither do you, over big tech’s data-mining of everything on the net or that corpse-orations are selling your data under the guise of “data breaches”. I am not setting up accounts for some dweeb to try to steal either.
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
What is this “we” stuff?
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Your contact information
Your information for subscribing to my site, https://debreena.com, is not going to be shared, sold or anything else of that nature will be done with it. Seriously, I will not even look at it. I do not care. You will get notices I posted something new. No ads (spam) because I am not selling anything.
Additional information
How we protect your data
What data breach procedures we have in place
Again a “we”? (eye-rolling) I have that SSL thingie. I do not know what else I can do. My site is on a secure server, not the public wordpress.com one. Nothing is fully secure these days. We can only do the best we can. Use my site at your own risk, it is the same as every one else out there.
What third parties we receive data from
I give up on the “we” thing… no one tells me that someone subscribed.
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
None. Nothing. Nada. I do not give two-squirts about your data or info.
Industry regulatory disclosure requirements
I do not even know what the heck that means.
If you read through all of the gobbledygook above, go get yourself a good coffee, a cookie, or something to bring a smile to your face. Also, maybe you need to learn a new-to-you craft like I talk about on occasion on my site if you are bored enough to read all of the crud above. Have a lovely day!
